I like the idea, but I wish checkmate could have been kept. Perhaps checkmate can be something you could lie about as well? Would also love the option of playing against other people.
The devlog was good! I think it is a really good idea. The CPU still does impossible moves for any piece where it goes across the board jumping over the front row.
definitely planning to update the game with some higher difficulty options at the very least, unfortunately for the jam I was just so out of time it wasn’t possible.
I’d love to collect other ideas to improve the game too, but this is a great start

I intentionally made it possible for that to happen, but I think the probabilities might be a little unbalanced 😂
Ah, that makes sense. It was a bit funny when I saw it! Maybe only do it if the player is losing badly, although the game is already easy as it is.
